The sixth annual Moonshiners & Racer’s Reunion is moving to North Wilkesboro Speedway this year, where it will be one of the main attractions for fans attending zMAX CARS Tour Championship Saturday on Oct. 18.

Held in Mount Airy, North Carolina, for its first five years, the Moonshiners & Racer’s Reunion includes a car show with many vintage race cars and a meet and greet and autograph session with many of stock car racing’s early racing pioneers, car owners, crew chiefs and moonshiners. The event, which will serve as the official induction ceremony for its Class of 2025 Stock Car Racing Wall of Fame, will be headlined with appearances by more than 70 drivers, moonshiners and revenuers.

Some of the featured attendees expected to attend include NASCAR Hall of Fame member and Modified champion Jerry Cook, famed crew chief and car builder Will Cronkrite, longtime Darrell Waltrip crew chief Jeff Hammond, NASCAR legend Dave Marcis, 1978 NASCAR Rookie of the Year Ronnie Thomas, NASCAR Hall of Fame Curator/Historian Tom Jensen, Bowman Gray Stadium drivers Tim Brown, Burt Myers, Gary Myers and Chris Fleming, and Jerry Turpen, a former Revenuer/ATF Agent.

The Moonshiners & Racer’s Reunion will be set up in North Wilkesboro’s traditional Fan Zone (Exhibit Hall) area near the main entrance and will be open to fans starting at 9 a.m. ET.

“We are thrilled to be able to add this attraction to the lineup for our zMAX CARS Tour championship weekend, which also features the SMART Modified Tour,” said Graig Hoffman, executive director of North Wilkesboro Speedway. “Not only will our guests be able to enjoy a tripleheader of amazing racing on the historic track, but they will be able to mingle with their racing heroes and check out some very cool vintage race cars as we honor North Carolina’s early racing history and put the spotlight on many of the early pioneers of stock car racing.”

Moonshiners & Racer’s Reunion organizer Bill Blair is happy to put the event at the region’s premier stock car racing facility, one that will return to the NASCAR Cup Series schedule as a points-paying event next year with the Window World 400 on July 19, 2026.

“Not only are we honoring the great pioneers of stock car racing through the Moonshiners & Racer’s Reunion, but we have the opportunity to get first-hand stories from those who lived it,” Blair said. “This event has grown over the past five years and we are excited to relocate it to North Wilkesboro Speedway and make it a part of this wonderful October racing weekend. The event is now at a historic track where it all started, back to its roots.”

A star-studded assortment of short-track standouts will descend on North Wilkesboro for the weekend, with Keelan Harvick – the son of NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series Champion Kevin Harvick – scheduled to compete in Pro Late Model competition alongside chief title contenders Ben Maier, Brandon Lopez and Dylan Garner. Late Model Stock Car stars slated to chase a North Wilkesboro victory include Connor Hall, Landen Lewis, Kade Brown, Mini Tyrrell and Landon Huffman.

The zMAX CARS Tour debuted at North Wilkesboro in 2022 with the Window World 125 – a Late Model Stock Car event won by current NASCAR Xfinity Series star Carson Kvapil. The Pro Late Model and Late Model Stock Car divisions concluded their seasons at North Wilkesboro for the first time last year, with Kaden Honeycutt sweeping both events.

Additional schedule information, including pre-race driver autograph sessions and on-track competition, will be announced at a later date. Fans can buy general admission  tickets starting at $30 by visiting www.northwilkesborospeedway.com. Parking is free in speedway-owned lots.
