The electrifying buzz of Late Model and Modified racing will once again pierce the North Wilkesboro air Oct. 18, with North Wilkesboro Speedway hosting the zMAX CARS Tour Championships, a spectacular festival of short-track excitement.
The iconic, five-eighths-mile oval will roar to life with the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car Crossroads Harley-Davidson 125 and the Pro Late Model Northwest Automotive 100 – with each race serving as the title-deciding season finale. Fans will receive even more value with every ticket purchase, as the SMART Modified Tour’s Frontier Natural Gas 99 brings ground-pounding Modified cars back to the Wilkes County mountains for a no-holds-barred, championship-deciding undercard.
"Grassroots racing and North Wilkesboro Speedway have gone hand-in-hand since the first car pulled up to the track in 1947,” said Scott Cooper, senior vice president of communications for Speedway Motorsports. “It’s a privilege for us to host the title-deciding races for the zMAX CARS Tour and the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic. It’s going to be a fantastic fall Saturday of short track showdowns at North Wilkesboro.”
A star-studded assortment of short-track standouts will descend on North Wilkesboro for the weekend, with Keelan Harvick – the son of NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series Champion Kevin Harvick – scheduled to compete in Pro Late Model competition alongside chief title contenders Ben Maier, Brandon Lopez and Dylan Garner. Late Model Stock Car stars slated to chase a North Wilkesboro victory include Connor Hall, Landen Lewis, Kade Brown, Mini Tyrrell and Landon Huffman.
The zMAX CARS Tour debuted at North Wilkesboro in 2022 with the Window World 125 – a Late Model Stock Car event won by current NASCAR Xfinity Series star Carson Kvapil. The Pro Late Model and Late Model Stock Car divisions concluded their seasons at North Wilkesboro for the first time last year, with Kaden Honeycutt sweeping both events.
Additional schedule information, including pre-race driver autograph sessions and on-track competition, will be announced at a later date. Fans can buy general admission grandstand tickets starting at $30 by visiting www.northwilkesborospeedway.com. Parking is free in speedway owned lots.
